It was a gooooood weekend. Let’s just leave it at that. Well, I guess I will leave you with some pictures to recap it a bit, too!
Oh, and p.s. Happy March. Aka the best month ever. Aka my birthday month! 😉
Lunch at Zombie Burger in Des Moines- The Raygun burger w/ a veggie patty, sans bacon & a side of coleslaw.
Shopping. So excited to finally see shorts out in the stores. I picked up this pair, a new shirt, and 2 pairs of jeans.
Shopping makes me thirsty. And apparently it also makes me crave pop 😉
Old college roomies.
Some Cards Against Humanity fun before dinner.
Dinner at Rock Bottom Brewery…
…where we drank…
…and ate. I ordered the veggie tacos with rice and beans. I ate every single bite.
Drinks, pictures, and photo bombers.
All of the girls.
I had to order this beer. It is from Exile Brewing Company and is called Hannah. It was tasty and the fact that it has “aromas of banana” sure seems pretty fitting for me 😉
No pictures from the next morning, which is probably for the better, but I will leave you with this gem:
Showing my Iowa pride with my workout attire. I am convinced it made my lifting and HIIT sessions even better! 😉
I hope you all had as great of a weekend as I did! It really flew by and I am sad that it is over, but I have another great weekend to look forward to in a few days!

I loooove banana-y beers! I get a hefeweizen everytime I see one on a tap list, just for the banana flavor. Looks like you had a great weekend, glad you had fun.
This was the first one that I had tried, but I really liked it!
Aww… it looks like you had such a great time with your college friends! Those weekends are the best and I’m having one in KC starting Friday – can’t wait! Oh, and happy birthday month 🙂
They are the BEST! I am sure you are going to have fun in KC. Are you going to the Power and Lights District? I have heard great things about it.
Birthdays have a way of brightening the whole month, don’t they? 🙂 Glad you enjoyed your catch up weekend – they are always so much fun.
They sure do!! I’m also hoping that March will be a great month and bring me some WARM weather! 😉
Looks like such a fun weekend. I love DSM!! I am super jealous you ate at Zombie burger – YUM!
It was great! I had heard awesome things about Zombie Burger for quite awhile so I was SO excited to finally try it! It did not disappoint!
I am impressed that you were able to only order pop at DQ! A vanilla cone with sprinkles would have called my name 🙂 cute going-out shirt, love it!
Haha, it is only because I had a major craving for pop! Otherwise, ice cream would have definitely won over ;).
Sounds like SUCH a fun weekend! Much better than the weekend I had but I digress 🙂 I imagine after I graduate I will be aching for nights like these with my college friends. I’m going to miss them dearly – most are moving to the west. It’s my birthday month toooooo! let’s party.
Oh my gosh, yes you will miss it so much! Savor the time you have! And yay for March birthdays! What day is yours?
Mine is the 17th! What about you?
Oh, how cool!! St. Patty’s Day 🙂 Mine is the 24th!
Mmmmm that veggie burger looks awesome!
It was fantastic!! I cannot wait to eat there again!
Love Blue Moon! I’ve been to a couple bachelorette parties there and they have never disappointed 🙂 Zombie Burger is on my to try though!
It was a great time! Piano bars are SO fun! And you must try ZB. It was awesome!
WHAT a fun weekend you had! And Rock Bottom is delicious! 🙂 I can’t believe you say pop! I used to say pop until I moved to the south and they were like WHAT is pop? Um, hello, it’s what you guys call Coke. But seriously, you want a sprite? order a coke! Want a fanta? You still order a Coke. Ay yi yi, the South….
Haha, I ONLY call it pop!! It would be SO confusing to refer to everything as Coke!
Yay for birthday month!!
And I looove girlsnights out, and yours looks like so much fun! How cool to drink a beer with your name??
I know, right?? I couldn’t not buy it!!
Sounds like a fun weekend!! I only played cards against humanity for the first time a month or so ago – so much fun! And yay for birthday month!
Cards Against Humanity is ridiculously funny…and inappropriate 😉
It looks like you had an awesome weekend! I think it’s hard being away from friends. Most of my college friends moved home so it’s always so nice to get to see them!
It is so hard being away from my college friends so it was GREAT to reunite. We were still missing a few though 🙁
Glad you had such a fun weekend!!
Thanks, Danica!! Yes, it was a great one 🙂
What a fun weekend!! I would face plant hard into those veggie tacos!
They were SO good!! You would love them!
Looks like it was a great weekend! I’ve not played cards against humanity but heard it is a lot of fun 😉
Your new shorts are super cute by the way!
It is really fun…and inappropriate! 😉 haha
Thanks! I am so glad it is almost short season here 🙂
Um, obviously March is the best birthday month! Cards Against Humanity is awesome and it looks like you had a lot of fun 🙂
Cards Against Humanity was great! It was so funny…and yet so inappropriate! 😉 haha
Looks like you had fun in the great state of Iowa! It’s weird..now that I don’t live in Nebraska anymore…even when someone mentions Iowa I feel like I know the area better than Minnesota haha.
Also, thank you for calling it “pop.” I get made fun of and have to call it soda up here! 😉
Iowa is such a great state! 🙂 And yes, “pop” is a must!! That is the only right way to say it 😉
