Happy Monday! There goes my attempt at positive thinking, again ;). If we think it will be a happy Monday then it will be, right? Or at least I hope that is how it works. I was already back to work last Thursday and Friday, but this is my first official full week back at work in two weeks and I have a feeling it is going to be a bit of a sluggish one. Plus, I am still dealing with a bit of the post-holiday blues. I guess I am just not quite ready to get back into the swing of things. So in an attempt to hang on to one of my favorite times of the year, I am going to share with you a holiday-themed post. In other words, this is basically going to be a wrap-up of what I have been up to over the past two weeks, all courtesy of my phone. And for those of you who follow me on Instagram, I apologize because these are mostly repeats.
An annual Christmas Eve tradition: cooking soup for my family. This year it was my “No Chicken” Noodle Chickpea Soup.
In case you missed it: the BEST chocolate fudge pie ever (and it’s vegan!)
Doodle #1: Sadie
Doodle #2: Lola & puppy dog kisses!
My Christmas dinner plate X 2
Healthy Bites from Tara’s giveaway!
I was a very lucky girl this Christmas. Santa brought me everything on my list and much more including a new pair of Uggs!
Egg on a pizza = the best thing everrrr.
The puzzle I completed over break. Nerd alert! 😉
My bff got married on NYE and I was on bridesmaid duty!
How cute is this? I have been using it for water ever since.
I was pretty much in love with my hair.
I was also in love with Panera bagels and mimosas.
My other bff, Stacy, and me before getting into our dresses.
I was pretty much obsessed with my shoes, and surprisingly they didn’t hurt my feet quite as badly as I expected ;).
The bride and her girls.
The bridal party.
After the wedding on the party bus.
Dinner included vegetable lasagna that was so good!
Amanda had a hot chocolate bar and smores, which were perfect considering it was snowing pretty much the entire day and night.
And yes, that is me in the obnoxiously bright coat and Uggs! 😉
All in all it was a fantastically busy and great holiday break!

So happy to see you got your healthy bites!!! 🙂 Enjoy! Looks you had a completely wonderful weekend.
I did and they are SO good!!
I am definitely also feeling the after-holiday blues – especially since we took down almost all of our decorations this weekend … boooo. But it looks like you had a great weekend – I love your hair for the wedding!!
Thanks so much, Ashley!! And yes, it is a bit sad. But now I am really just ready for Spring! 😉
what a fun holiday! and well deserved. Sad it’s over but at least it’s a fresh year, yes?
p.s.
you look beautiful
Thanks so much, Lindsay! And yes, I think 2014 is going to be a great year! 🙂
Looks like you had a nice holiday! First day back at work for me. It’s not going well. 48 minutes in and I’m ready for the mid day nap I’ve been taking the last 2 weeks 😉
I hear you. It was a rough Monday, but we made it!
The Monday blues for sure! I can totally relate 😉 I love your hair for the wedding too and Panera + mimosas is basically awesomeness! Have the best Monday possible, Hannah!
Thanks Becky! Monday was rough, but we survived and it can only get better :).
I love the simple dresses the bride chose! And of course, you look gorgeous. The hair is spot-on. I’ve never had an egg on pizza but I bet I would like it a whole lot. You’re full of great ideas.
The dresses were great. I absolutely loved me, especially since I will be able to wear it again!
Looks like so much fun! I love that your friend had a hot chocolate bar – such a cute idea! Hope today is a very HAPPY Monday for you!! Think happy thoughts, right? 😉
Yes, happy thoughts are a must! And the hot chocolate bar was awesome. It was perfect on the freezing cold night.
I love those shoes!!
Thanks, Emily!! I loved them too. AND I didn’t break my ankle so that was a plus ;).
You look so beautiful 🙂 happy new year! Also, love the idea of a hot chocolate bar for a winter wedding. So cute!
Thanks Jamie!! I hope you have a great new year as well!
Looks like a wonderful holiday! I’m slow to get back into the swing of things too. Work was actually closed today because of the cold, so that’s not helping. I’m ready to get back into a routine – no matter how painful that might be. Haha.
I was REALLY helping for a snow day, but it didn’t quite happen for me :(.
I’m not entirely sure how I feel about being back at work/school today… Part of me is happy to be back in some sort of a routine, but the other part of me misses the carefree excitement of the holidays. I’m blaming the ‘blahs’ on the fact that it’s cold, snowy, and cloudy over here, though 🙄
AGREED. If it was Summertime I feel like I would be a bit more cheerful! 😉
Wow! I love love love your hair and how beautiful the entire bridal party is! That cup would be my most favorite thing ever, haha. The picture with uggs and coats is so cute! I never saw one like that before; but it’s gorgeous!
Thank you!! That is so kind. Yes, it was FREEZING but the picture turned out really cute!
Looks like quite a fabulous weekend! That chickpea noodle soup sounds like the perfect medicine for this ridiculously frigid weather! YUM.
It definitely would be. It tastes just like chicken noodle soup…but better! 😉
LOVE doing puzzles! Looks like you had a wonderful holiday! Weddings are so fun!
I am glad to know that I am not the only “nerdy” one ;).
You look absolutely gorgeous in all of those photos! Weddings are just the best.
Thanks Danica!! Yes, they so are! I had a blast reuniting with my college friends.
While I always absolutely adore all of your food posts, I’m so glad you’ve posted lots of pictures of you! You’re gorgeous! I’m in love with your comfy slippers and killer heels. Your hair is stunning in that one picture! Weddings are just amazing! BUT since I do always go on and on about your food, that no chicken chicken noodle soup looks right up my alley. I’m not a fan of meaty soups, so that soup is currently at the top of my revised ‘To Make 2014’ list! 🙂
Wow, thank you Katherine! You are too kind :). And please let me know if you try the soup!
Love those uggs and your hair looked absolutely gorgeous!!! I’ve never had my hair professionally made up, yours looks awesome!
Thank you! I am really bad about doing my hair so I was so grateful to have someone else do it!
I LOVE <3 the doodle pictures, doodles are the best! Of course, I also like all of your other pictures too. You and your friend, the bride, both look stunning! I love your hair. Whenever I have my hair done fancy I always hate taking it out to go to bed, I want to keep it looking nice for a long time!
I SO agree! Though it is kind of fun to see how many millions of bobby pins were in your hair ;).
Omg I love Sadie!! And you look beautiful in your bridesmaids dress! Your hair is so pretty!
Thanks so much Erin! 🙂
I freaking love puzzles, I got a new one for Christmas I am dying to do!
Yay!! I am glad to hear that I am not the only “nerdy” one ;).
I’ve seen that pie all over the Internet and I’ve always been kind of wary about it… But now that you say it’s fab, I think I have to try it!! I love your hair for the wedding. The whole wedding looks beautiful. Congrats to your friend!!
Oh my gosh, it is the BEST! You MUST try it. You seriously won’t regret it…and if you do, then you can send the leftovers to me ;).
