Sometimes I think it is slightly weird that I love to read about what other bloggers are eating, and that I thoroughly enjoy seeing what they keep in their pantries, freezers, and refrigerators. Weird or not, I have come to realize that I am certainly not the only person who is fascinated by what others are eating. Now I am not going to assume that my eats are incredibly exciting to everyone, but after the positive responses I have received from my grocery bag posts, I figured you might like to check out the food that is chilling (pun intended) in my fridge!
Today I am going to give you a peek inside of my refrigerator, which I keep about 90% plant-based with a few dairy products thrown in here and there. I’ll show you some of my staple grains, condiments, produce, and all of the random items thrown in between it all. I also took this post idea as an opportunity to clean out my fridge. Lord knows that it needed it!
Let’s take a peek inside of my fridge…
The back of the top shelf (from left to right): sundried tomatoes| a baby food pouch| Field Roast apple and sage vegan sausages| two kinds of salsa| tofu| dates| my vegan/dark chocolate stash
The front of the top shelf (from left to right): cage-free brown eggs| individual 100-calorie Wholly Guacamole packs| roasted corn from Whole Foods| a Subway sandwich all ready for my virtual Skype dinner date| red seedless grapes| leftover produce (an onion, red peppers, corn)| hummus| leftover canned pumpkin

The back of the bottom shelf (from left to right): My wine and beer collection| raw apple cider vinegar| Bragg’s liquid aminos| unsweetened vanilla almond milk
The front of the bottom shelf (from left to right): leftover soup| Just Mayo vegan mayo|raisins| cauliflower| red butter lettuce| lots of fresh spinach (hellllo smoothies)| green leaf lettuce

I hope you enjoyed peeking inside of this mostly plant-based food blogger’s refrigerator! I love seeing what others eat, so I would love for my fellow bloggers to share posts of what is inside of their refrigerators! I cannot be the only person with this “weird” fascination, right?
What are some food staples that you always keep in your fridge?

haha nope you are not alone. I sooo love seeing what other people have in their fridge, pantry, etc. Apparently I’m nosey??? 🙂
I think food bloggers are pretty notorious for being nosey… when it comes to food at least 😉
Good to know I’m not the only person with 3 kinds of mayo in her fridge… :-p
Priorities, right?? 😉 And to think that I used to HATE mayo! Have you tried the Just Mayo yet? I haven’t opened it, but I hear it is great. I am a BIG fan of Vegenaise.
I LOVE Just Mayo. I like Vegenaise and Nayonaise, but Just Mayo tastes more like “regular” mayo. Josh thought it WAS regular mayo, just a weirdo hippy brand like I am wont to buy.
Haha, how funny! I’m excited to give it a try 🙂
Do you remember the MTV show Cribs? They would always have the celebrity open their fridge and show what was inside. I believe this is where the fridge fascination started! lol
Haha!! That definitely could be it! I used to LOVE watching that show. They need to bring it back.
You’re so prepared! What’s going to happen when Jeremy moves in – will you get a second fridge? 😉
Kidding – you have the best condiments though. I might have to search for a few of these
I definitely might be the queen of condiments. I LOVE finding new ones to try!! And yes… I’ve actually thought about that. We may need a whole mini-fridge just for beverages once he moves here 😉
Love these posts! You are so NOT the only one 😉
Your fridge looks a lot like mine! My fridge is always stocked with gallons of produce, almond (or flax) milk, hummus, and of course all the condiments!!!!
I am glad to hear that there are others who are fascinated as well 😉 Yay for almond milk and hummus. I never have a fridge without them!
I love posts like this, Hannah! I always have salsa, BBQ sauce, grapes, eggs, apples and avocados on hand 🙂 None of them go together but they’re ingredients that I use in a lot of my recipes!
Major yes on ALLL of those. A fridge is not complete without them!
I love posts like this! thanks for sharing!
Thanks Ashley! I always thought I was weird for being fascinated by what others eat, but I think it is a common theme… at least with bloggers!
I always have bell peppers, avocados, chicken and rice made. They all go well together or can be tossed with a few other ingredients for a great meal!
That is a great idea to keep ingredients that pair well together in your fridge. I definitely need to start cooking rice on the weekends more because it is a great base for so many dishes.
Looks awesome!!! Vegan ranch?! I must find that! I really want to do a post like this too although my refrigerator kind of just looks crazy with things packed in…maybe I should organize first haha!
Trust me, mine did NOT look this good before I took the pictures. I used this post as an excuse to clean/organize it 😉 You should definitely do a post of your fridge. I’d love to see it!
I think it’s fascinating to see other people’s fridge. I also peek at what other people buy at the grocery store. What’s next? The pantry, perhaps? 🙂
Haha yes….. and that very well may happen! Maybe the freezer, too! 😉
Next time I’m hungry, I’m coming over to your house! I do love these posts, especially by other veg*ns.
Come on over! I love to cook, eat, and talk about food! 🙂
My fridge always has eggs, almond milk, spinach, lemons, apples, sriracha and nut butter. Do you put all your flours and chia seeds in the fridge? I always keep mine in the pantry.
I do not have all of them in the fridge (especially not my bulky containers), but I keep as many in there that will fit. I have heard that they tend to store better in the fridge, but during this time of year it probably doesn’t matter since it is so cold!!
I think Vegenaise >>>>>>>>>Just Mayo. Just because the Just mayo tastes more like mayo. But Just Mayo >>>>>> Nayonaise. <—Gag.
Your verdict?
Oh and no… not the only weirdo.
Look at me all curious about your exact feelings about vegan mayos. LOL.
I haven’t opened up my Just Mayo yet, but I am excited to try it. I will agree that Vegenaise is WAY better than Nayonaise. I hardly ever use that one 😉
I think you may be the only person who might love Vegenaise as much as me. If we shared a fridge we’d probably need our own jars with labels. LOL.
Haha, for sure!!! I hate sharing mine 😉
So I should refrigerate all my grains? Help! Obviously my fridge is a mini one too so it makes life even harder!
I don’t think it is a requirement, I have just heard that they tend to store better/last longer when refrigerated. I definitely don’t keep my big containers of flour in there just because I don’t have the room for that. As long as you are going through the packages fairly quickly, I am sure they are just fine in your pantry!
All these fruits and veggies are motivating me to make a green juice! Love all of these healthy options!
Yay! That is what I like to hear! 🙂
Thanks for giving us all a peek in your fridge! I’m a pretty curious person so this kind of thing is fun for me! There’s a lot more variety of food items than I expected! You’re inspiring me!
Thanks Carrie! I always hope that my food/recipes give others inspiration. That is good to hear 🙂
I love these kinds of posts and yes, I’m always incredibly interested in what others are eating! I guess it just comes with the territory of loving food. My fridge has a lot of similarities, especially the wine/beer and dark chocolate stash!
It’s not a complete fridge with chocolate and beer, right? 😉
Oh my goodness, your fridge looks a lot like mine. I clear out the green section at the grocery store a lot. We eat steamed collard greens or kale in the mornings. Then generally I have spinach in a smoothie. We do eat meat to, but a lot of veggies, and some fruit. The older I get, the more sensitive I am to dairy. I know how to make almond milk, and do at times, but not all the time. The almond pulp I use in smoothies. Mostly I’m a water drinker though.
I have heard a lot about people making their own almond milk, but I haven’t tackled that yet. I should really try it!
I have how to make Almond or Cashew milk here: http://theapels.blogspot.com/2014/06/zimtal-nut-milk-bag-revew.html if you are interested. It’s actually really easy to do.
Thanks so much for sharing that!
I love that you love the sundried tomato ketchup! I need to get some liquid aminos!
I seriously LOVE it!! Now I need to actually find it in a store!
According to everyone who looks in my fridge…… I have nothing in there – ha ha! And I have to agree, it’s mostly just drinks – lol
Well hey, at least you have the liquids covered. Those are important!!
Call me nosey but I’m a huge fan of these type of posts. It’s always fun to see what other bloggers eat & store in their fridge. Your fridge is putting mine to shame right now. Come Friday it’s running on empty & doesn’t have too much goodness to offer. Ha!
One staple we always have in ours would be eggs. Cant get enough of those 🙂
Yes, I agree with you on that. You will rarely find my food without eggs in it. They are just SO easy to make, which I love!
i did not realize that flours/wheat germ etc goes in the refrigerator – does it increase the shelf life? I have been doing it all wrong.
I don’t put all of them in there (just the ones that fit), but I have heard that it does help make them last longer. I’m sure they are quite fine in the pantry, though, but if you have room then you might as well stick them in the fridge!
SO fun! I really enjoyed this post.
Are you supposed to store nuts in the fridge? Oops.
I would recommend taking pics of the fridge contents like three times at random, so that we would get a more “big-picture” idea of a plant-eater’s fridge (rather than like n=1 sample size :P)
This is pretty much the way that my fridge looks 90% of the time. What can I say, I am a creature of habit! 😉 As far as the nuts go… I have heard that storing them in the fridge will extend the shelf life, so that is what I do. I am sure they are just fine in your pantry, though, as long as you have going through them at a decent amount of time.
I seriously LOVE it!! Now I need to actually find it in a store!
Wow! Thanks for the info and recipes! Love your blog 😉
