It is Wednesday and you know what that means! It means it is my “Thursday” (thank you July 4th!) and it means that it is time to talk about some of my latest eats! This What I Ate Wednesday post is going to be a bit different this time around, though. Lately I have been focusing on my recent eats. But today I am making an exception. Today I am sharing a full day of eats in order to help debunk the myth that vegetarians and vegans do not consume “enough” protein. What can I say… I love debunking this myth!
This yummy burger is just a sneak peak at one of my delicious and protein-packed eats. You are going to have to head on over to Alexis’s blog, Hummusapien, to see the rest and to watch me Debunk the Plant-Based Protein Myth! Get on over there! I promise you will love her blog… and hopefully my guest post? 😉
Have a wonderful Wednesday! I’ll catch you back here tomorrow for another recap of my Colorado trip.

I’ve been a vegetarian for years and years so I KNOW I’m getting enough protein but I’m definitely going to go check out your day of eats! I love getting inspiration from others 🙂
The protein topic is such a fun debate topic!! It’s fun proving to others that we are doing JUST FINE in this area! 😉
Thanks for sharing this! I was a vegetarian for 2 years and never once had a problem getting enough protein! Most people eat way too much protein!
Isn’t that the truth? I wish our society was not so protein obsessed!!
Woohoo total myth – love this! I started tracking my protein when I found out I was pregnant just because I wanted to make sure I was getting enough, and sure enough, it’s super simple to get PLENTY of protein as a vegetarian (I’m mostly vegan these days). Great post!
I think it baffles most people just how EASY it is to do. Our society needs to start focusing on other vitamins/nutrients and lay off of the protein obsession!
loved the guest post! great tips for vegans too!! it’s all about finding the most nourishing plant based foods, for sure!
Yes that is for sure! Vegetarian and vegan diets can definitely be unhealthy, but I sure find it a bit easier to be healthier when I follow a mostly plant-based diet… with pizza and ice cream every now and then 😉
