For this post I will be jumping on the bandwagon of many other bloggers.Ā I have seen this survey popping up all over during the past two weeks, and decided to stray away from my usual Sunday recipe post.Ā So…if you so desire, let’s find out a little bit more about me! š
The ABC’s of Me
Attached or Single?
At the moment I am single…and ready to mingle?Ā Haha, okay I don’t know about that last part.Ā But I am definitely single and enjoying living an independent life.Ā It is kind of nice to be able to do what I want to do when I want to do it!
Best Friend?
Wow.Ā There are way too many great people in my life to choose just one person.Ā You know who you are!
Cake or Pie?
Cake alllll the way.Ā My favorite is either funfetti cake or carrot cake.Ā I mentioned back in March that my co-worker made me birthday vegan carrot cake cupcakes that were absolutely amazing.Ā I could go for some more of those right about now ;).Ā I definitely do have a liking for pie though, too, but only if it is pumpkin!
Day of Choice?
It seems like a lot of people pick Friday for this one, but I am going to go with Saturday.Ā Don’t get me wrong, I love Friday for the excitement of the upcoming weekend, but on my Fridays I am still at work.Ā This is why Saturdays are much better.Ā I do not have to work and I also do not have Monday glaring at me like I do on Sundays.
Essential item?
I have a ton of “essential items,” I am sure.Ā But I am going to go with the kitchen/food theme and go with my food processor!
I am pretty sure that I would be a bit lost without this bad boy!
Favorite color?
That is easy!Ā Anyone who knows me well knows that I LOVE yellow!!
Gummy bears or worms?
Well, before I became a vegetarian I would probably have to say gummy bears.Ā But since both contain gelatin, I no longer eat either one.
Hometown?
Good ‘ole Fort Madison, Iowa!Ā I love my hometown and I love to visit it, but it is a bit small for my taste so I am not sure that I could ever move back for good.
Indulgence?
My favorite indulgence is probably either pizza, chips and salsa/guac, or ice cream!Ā I would also enjoy eating all three in one night ;).
January or July?
That is an easy one.Ā Since I live in the Midwest I am much more partial to July.Ā Unless I get a snow day off from work or something ;).
Kids?
Yes.Ā I will have kids one way or another in the future.Ā I used to think that I wanted about 4 children.Ā But now that I have been learning from others how expensive they are, I am thinking it will be more like 2.

Number of brothers and sisters?
I have one older brother, Tyler, who just graduated from medical school and started his residency.Ā We don’t always get a long ;), but I am super proud of his accomplishments!
Oranges or Apples?
This one is SO easy!Ā Apples for sure!Ā I eat one nearly every day.Ā My favorite way to eat them is dipped in peanut butter or almond butter.Ā I will eat pretty much any variety of apple, too.Ā I generally do not pick favorites and just buy whatever is on sale.
Phobias?
Well, the Psychology major in me would say that I do not technically have any phobias ;), but I definitely have a fear of spiders, bugs, snakes, and failure.

Season of Choice
One thing that I really love about living in the Midwest is that I get to experience all four seasons.Ā I genuinely love all four of the seasons (though I tend to get tired of Winter fairly quickly), but my absolute favorite season is probably Fall.Ā The weather and the trees are just so pretty at that time.

Unknown Fact About Me
Growing up, I was very involved in dance and tumbling.Ā I was on a tumbling team and placed fourth out of 57 tumblers at the National meet in 1998 (I believe).Ā Wow, that seems like forever ago!Ā I was beyond excited, but I think that my grandad was even more excited because he kept repeating, “fourth out of 57.”Ā To this day I still remember how many people I competed against because of him.
Vegetable
This probably comes as no surprise to most of you, but I seem to be a bit obsessed with most vegetables.Ā It is pretty easy to pick my all-time favorite, though.Ā I am in love with carrots!Ā I eat them every single day, usually in the form of baby carrots with hummus.
Worst Habit?
One of my worst habits used to be biting my nails, but I actually gave that up last year and (so far) am holding strong!Ā Now my worst habit is probably either gum chewing (though I have cut back) or being a perfectionist (this is a really hard one to break for me).
X-ray or Ultrasound?
I have had many x-rays: my nose, my finger, my wrist, my knee, my ankle…maybe more?
Your Favorite Food?
This is a silly question.Ā I definitely cannot choose one thing.Ā But…right now I am really loving avocado, sweet potatoes, and kale chips!

Are you a fan of chocolate? If so, you need to try tollhouse chocolate chip cookie pie… I’m a cake girl through and through, but I think I like this pie more than any cake I’ve had. Mmmm.

It’s crazzzzyyy good. All the chocolate chips like melt into the middle and make this ooey-gooey chocolate center with an oreo crust on bottom and a chocolate chip cookie topping. *drool*
